Kieran Hegarty

Kieran Hegarty is a librarian and digital sociologist. After a decade of working in the Australian library sector, Kieran is currently a PhD candidate at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Digital Humanism Junior Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences. His research focuses on the relationship between digital technology, archives, and collective memory, and examines how digitalization is changing how the past is understood and how the future is imagined.
