The Mirror Cube:
From December 17, 2020 to November 2022, the MIRROR CUBE will be located in the Technisches Museum in Vienna. The exhibition „Artificial Intelligence?“ gives visitors a transparent, reflective look at utopias and hysteria surrounding humanoid robots and artificial intelligence. The exhibition presents the current technological developments and wants to show what is being researched with what goals, what social effects are to be expected from the results and what is actually behind trend catchphrases such as “machine learning”, “algorithm” or “autonomous systems”. WE ARE DATA has been invited by Tinker Imagineers to become part of this exhibition with the MIRROR CUBE, which they have curated and designed on behalf of the museum.
The MIRROR CUBE contributes to a deeper awareness of what personal information can be recorded and what this means for each and every one of us. If you really experience and feel this real, you can better understand the new technologies to which we are exposed. The experience in the MIRROR CUBE focuses on physical and emotional information that you – as a person – are always sharing, whether you like it or not, or know it or not.
